Neuqua Valley Invitational 12/3/17

Somonauk Wrestlers Club kicked off our season in Naperville over the weekend. We had 6 kids wrestle at the Neuqua Valley Invitational, where there is always some very tough competition. Great job to ALL our wrestlers!!

DeKalb Beginners Tournament 12/10/17

Somonauk Wrestlers Club also had 9 kids head to Dekalb for a beginners tournament on Sunday. This is for 1st & 2nd year kids only & with this being the 1st time on the mat for most of the kids they were able to get a good learning experience. All of them did an AWESOME job!!

Naperville Invitational 12/31/17

One of the largest tournaments our Club will enter this season was held in Naperville on New Years Eve. With almost 1000 wrestlers competing there was plenty of competition. SWC had 8 wrestlers attend.  Congratulations to all who went!

Bolingbrook Bob Jahn Memorial 1/7/18

SWC was in Bolingbrook wrestling at the Annual Bob Jahn Memorial, another large competitive tournament with close to 1000 participants. Our kids had some great matches & 4 wrestlers who placed. Great job to all 9 wrestlers who attended!!

Jon Davis Kids Open Springfield 1/14/18

Somonauk Wrestlers Club had 3 of our wrestlers travel down to Springfield for the 34th Annual Jon Davis Kids Open. This is a statewide tournament with no coaches allowed on the mat where the kids get to put the skills & moves they've learned to use it's the only IKWF sanctioned event for the weekend. It was a very long day with over 8hrs of wrestling and 1500+ wrestlers attending the event. All 3 of our wrestlers who competed placed, awesome job!!

Stillman Valley Beginners Tournament 1/27/18

Somonauk Wrestlers Club had 2 wrestlers place at the Stillman Valley Rookie Tournament on Saturday. Congratulations to Wyatt Gletty on bringing home a 1st place with 3 pins for the day & also to Alex Barnes for placing 3rd with 1 pin, way to show off everything you've learned this season!!

LaSalle-Peru Crunching Cavs Classic 1/28/18

Mendota Mat Masters 2/4/18

Somonauk Wrestlers Club was at the Mendota Mat Masters Tournament over the weekend. We had 7 wrestlers compete and were out of there before 1pm. Our wrestlers did an outstanding job!

Team 1006 Super Nova Slam 2/11/18

Somonauk Wrestlers Club had 8 wrestlers brave the snow to attend the Team 1006 Super Nova Slam in Plano. It was a rough day of competition with some hard fought matches, but we managed to bring home a few medals!!

Pontiac Kids Open 2/18/18

SWC had 7 wrestling families find their way through the fog to Pontiac on Sunday for their Annual Kids Open Tournament. It was a long day of wrestling several kids had up to 5 matches and they all did AMAZING!!

2017-2018 IKWF Regionals Dixon 2/25/18

The IKWF Regionals were held over the weekend and our club headed to Dixon High School with 5 wrestlers to compete. We had 4 wrestlers move on to sectionals in Rock Island next weekend. Great job to everyone who participated!! A huge CONGRATS to SHEA REISEL who placed 1st in the Senior 95lb Division!
