Somonauk Wrestlers Club started off the season by sending 7 kids to DeKalb for the DeKalb Beginners Tournament on Saturday Dec 3rd. Way to go everyone!

Neuqua Valley Invitational 12/4/16

Somonauk Wrestlers Club also attended the Neuqua Valley Invitational on Sunday Dec. 4th, we had 11 kids travel to Naperville to represent our Club. It was a tough first tournament, but everyone wrestled hard!!

Stillman Valley Holiday Tournament 12/18/16

Somonauk Wrestlers Club had 12 wrestlers travel to Stillman Valley in the below freezing temps over the weekend to participate in their annual Holiday Tournament.

Sauk Valley 12/31/16

Our Club traveled to Sterling on New Year's Eve for the Sauk Valley 11th Annual Wrestling Tournament. It was an extremely long day for everyone who attended, but the kids stuck it out and wrestled their hardest!

Bob Jahn Memorial Bolingbrook 1/8/17

Somonauk Wrestlers Club attended the Bob Jahn Memorial in Bolingbrook on Sunday Jan. 8th. With over 850 kids participating at the event, and many of them being from elite clubs our kids had some tough competition!!

Jon Davis Kids Open Springfield 1/15/17

One of the largest state wide tournaments of the season was held in Springfield on 1/15/17. This is a no coaches tournament where the kids get to show off the skills they have learned, and make their own choices on the mat. This tournament typically has around 1500 wrestlers participate so it's very competitive, but they always have fun!! We had 9 wrestlers from the club travel down to participate.

Yorkville Fighting Foxes Invitational 1/22/17

The Club headed to Yorkville over the weekend with 13 wrestlers to participate in the Fighting Foxes Invitational. All of our kids did a phenomenal job fighting their way through some tough brackets!

Somonauk Wrestlers Club had 2 wrestlers take 1st Place at the Stillman Valley Rookie Tournament on Saturday. Congratulations to Brady Andrews and Wyatt Gletty, way to show off everything you've learned this season!!

LP Crunching Cavs Classic 1/29/17

The Club also had 8 wrestlers attend the the Crunching Cavs Classic over the weekend, and brought home a couple more 1st place finishes! A great weekend of wrestling for all the wrestlers!

Mendota Mat Masters 2/5/17

Somonauk Wrestlers Club had it's biggest turn out for a tournament of the season over the weekend. The Club had 15 kids attend the Mendota Mat Masters Tournament & ended up with 5 wrestlers bringing home 1st Place medals!!

Pontiac Kids Open 2/19/17

We had 4 wrestlers travel to Pontiac for our Clubs final tournament of the Season.  With almost all novice & senior brackets being 6-man most of the kids wrestled 5 times on Sunday.  Way to finish off the Season and head into regionals!!
