32nd annual jon davis kids open springfield 1-17-16

The 32nd Annual IKWF Jon Davis Kids Open was held in Springfield over the weekend. Somonauk Wrestlers Club had 7 kids make the long trip south to compete in this very large tournament. (Not being able to have a coach there on the mat the kids all did an excellent job wrestling and fighting every single match!!)

28th Annual Pontiac Kids Open 2/21/16

Somonauk Wrestlers Club concluded it's regular season this weekend traveling south for the The 28th Annual Pontiac Kids Open. We had 14 wrestlers participate. It was a long day, and with several kids wrestling up to 5 matches they all did outstanding job finishing off the season!!

IKWF West Regionals LaSalle-Peru 2-28-16

IKWF West Regionals were held over the weekend. Somonauk Wrestlers Club had 8 kids wrestle for a spot at Sectionals in Rock Island on 3/5/16. Of our 8 we had 5 Wrestlers place 6th or better and will be moving thru to Sectionals. Excellent job competing to all 8 wrestlers some brackets were very large and all of them had very tough competition!!

IKWF West Sectionals Rock Island 3-5-16

Congratulations to the 5 Somonauk Wrestlers who moved on to compete in the IKWF West Sectionals in Rock Island on Saturday: Coleton Eade, Bryce Decker, Shea Reisel, Andrew Wernsman, & Joey Rowan!! Joey Rowan placed 2nd in the Senior 147lb division and will represent Somonauk Wrestlers Club in the IKWF State Finals in Rockford this weekend, WAY TO GO JOEY & GOOD LUCK!!

IKWF Girls State Finals East Aurora 3-13-16

The IKWF Girls State Finals were held in East Aurora on 3/13/16. Shea Reisel attended the competition where she placed 3rd in her bracket for girls in Illinois. Congratulations Shea!!
